He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf (whenever he has free time), and being around the game of basketball. Coach had a brush with NBA greatness in 1999, when he was chosen to participate in a free throw shooting contest at a San Antonio Spurs game. He had to shoot free throws against another contestant and whoever had the most free throws would then get one free throw attempt to win a 42” Big Screen TV. He won the first round which got him $5 a week of Taco Bell for a year. Any bachelors dream come true! He stepped up to the free throw line and swished the next free throw for the Big Screen TV. He was so excited he took off running around the Spurs floor ending up in the center of the court at the Spurs Logo. All of a sudden it dawned on him that the Spurs Coyote does something special at center court. So, he proceeded to jump on each letter while the crowd yelled out each letter he jumped on. S…P...U...R...S then the crowd yelled SPURS in unison. The Coyote was not happy…..as he was trotting of the court smiling from ear to ear, the coyote ran up on him from behind and tackles him. The Coyote then proceeds to act like he is beating coach up for stealing his trick and the crowd was loving it!
